TOWN OF NEWBURGH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Newburgh, Orange County, New York will meet at the Town Hall at 1496 Route 300, in the Town of Newburgh, New York on the 13th day of July, 2026 at 7:00 o'clock, p.m., Prevailing Time for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a certain map, plan and report, together with an estimate of cost, prepared in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of the Consolidated Water District of the Town of Newburgh, Orange County, New York consisting of the acquisition by donation/bargain sale of an unimproved approximately 70 acre parcel land on both sides of Camp Sunset Road at its intersection with Plattekill Ardonia Road in the Town of Plattekill, Ulster County, New York, shown on the tax map for the Town of Plattekill as Section 101.2, Block 2 Lot 12.911, at a total estimated cost of $55,000 The aforesaid project has been determined to be an Unlisted Action pursuant to the regulations of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation promulgated pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act which will not result in any significant environmental impacts, the Town Board having issued a negative declaration. At said public hearing said Town Board will hear all persons interested in the subject matter thereof. Portions of the parcel are tributary watershed to the Chadwick Lake Reservoir of the Consolidated Water District and the conveyance will be subject to certain restrictions on future development and use of the property.
