IMPENDING WINTER STORM & ORANGE COUNTY WARMING STATIONS

A severe winter storm is expected this weekend. Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a State of Emergency for New York State starting today, Friday, January 23, 2026.

To ensure safety, residents are asked to remain indoors during the impending winter storm. Only emergency services personnel and essential staff are allowed on the roads during the winter storm.

The following warming stations are currently operating in Orange County:

Middletown Warming Station

Open through April 3, 2025
Adults only (18+); no children
Capacity: up to 30 guests, first come/first served
Dinner served 9:00–10:00 PM; lights out at 10:00 PM
Guests depart by 9:00 AM (extended weekend hours in Nov–Dec)
After 9:30 PM, entry via police transport
