KEEP IT MOVING STOCKING PROJECT
The Keep It Moving Stocking Project supports children who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. This is the 9th Stocking Project held in memory of Zane Mandel Michalak, a young man who loved a holiday stocking!
Keep It Moving is a New York State Opioid Prevention Program that offers Narcan training and kits, and promotes healthy activities for youth through nature, sports, arts, and music.
In partnership with Horizons-On-The-Hudson and the Newburgh Free Academy, Keep It Moving provides holiday stockings filled with small toys, books, and personal hygiene items that are culturally diverse, and includes both needed and wished-for gifts. This year, Keep It Moving also providing grocery gift cards to allow families to enjoy a special holiday meal.
Given the significant increase in demand, Keep It Moving is seeking support through donations and increased public awareness to meet children’s needs.
Keep It Moving is part of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties, so all donations are tax-deductible.
